Now, with Beta 4, users can expect a comprehensive list of fixes as the software approaches its final form. This update is primarily focused on enhancing stability and user experience, ensuring that the Pixel devices operate smoothly.
Critical bug fixes
Among the notable improvements in Beta 4 is a resolution to a thermal management issue that could lead to overheating and unexpected reboots. Additionally, the update addresses the frustrating battery charging behavior, particularly the prolonged time taken to complete the last 20% of charging. In terms of hardware support, Beta 4 reinstates screen mirroring for USB-C XR glasses and resolves issues with blank screens in 3D mode for connected smart glasses. Furthermore, improvements to Face Unlock in low-light conditions ensure that users can access their devices without unnecessary delays.

However, Beta 4 is not without its imperfections. Some users have reported oversized text and lower display resolution following the update, although a reboot has resolved these issues for at least one individual. Additionally, a persistent Bluetooth routing issue for incoming calls has been noted across all four QPR2 betas, requiring manual selection of the audio source.
This latest beta is being rolled out to a wide array of Pixel phones and tablets, with support for Pixel 11 anticipated in the near future.
