The latest Messaging Trends Report 2026 reveals a remarkable surge in messaging activity within the Philippines, showcasing a 19 percent increase in 2025. This growth is particularly pronounced in mobile messaging applications, which saw interactions soar by an astonishing 139 percent as both consumers and businesses increasingly embraced digital communication channels. The report, which analyzed a staggering 628 billion mobile interactions on Infobip’s platform in 2025, also reflects a comprehensive 20-year review of 3.8 trillion messages, highlighting a robust expansion across various messaging platforms in the region.
Growth Across Messaging Platforms
Among the standout performers, Viber interactions surged by 47 percent, while WhatsApp experienced a staggering growth of 1,416 percent. Other notable increases include SMS, which rose by 14 percent, and MMS, which saw a 15 percent uptick. Email interactions also contributed to the overall growth, with a 5 percent increase. Additionally, other chat applications collectively recorded an impressive 1,014 percent rise in user engagement.
