Gemini’s Personal Intelligence Makes Its Way to Android Auto

Google is enhancing the driving experience with its latest feature, Personal Intelligence, now available on Gemini for Android Auto. This innovative addition allows the AI assistant to seamlessly integrate with your Google apps, providing personalized responses while you maintain focus on the road.

Gemini can now connect to your Google apps in the car

Initially introduced in November 2025, Gemini has already transformed how drivers interact with their vehicles. With the rollout of Personal Intelligence commencing today, users can expect an even more intuitive experience. For those with Google built-in cars, this feature will be available in the coming months.

If you have previously activated Personal Intelligence within the Gemini app, the same settings will automatically apply when you’re in your car. For new users, enabling this feature is a straightforward process through the Gemini settings.

Personal Intelligence is designed to consider your unique context by leveraging data from various Google applications, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Photos, Google Maps, YouTube, and Search. This interconnectedness allows Gemini to provide precise answers to your inquiries.

Imagine asking Gemini for your flight gate and the status of your flight while en route to the airport. The assistant can access your confirmation email and real-time flight updates to deliver accurate information. Similarly, if you need directions to a doctor’s appointment, Gemini can guide you without requiring you to recall the address.

For those exploring new areas, Gemini can recommend vegetarian dining options along your route or even direct you to a coffee shop you mentioned just the day before. This level of personalization could significantly enhance the convenience of travel.

Currently, the feature is being rolled out to personal Google accounts for users aged 18 and older. However, it is not available for Workspace business, enterprise, or education accounts. Additionally, users located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the UK, and Nigeria will not have access to this feature at this time.
