Trend Micro releases critical security fixes for Apex Central RCE

Trend Micro has recently addressed a significant security vulnerability in its Apex Central platform, which is designed for centralized management of enterprise security. This flaw, identified as CVE-2025-69258, permitted unauthenticated DLL injection and remote code execution, raising alarms among cybersecurity professionals.

Critical Updates and Recommendations

The company has rolled out Critical Patch Build 7190, which not only resolves the aforementioned vulnerability but also addresses two additional issues: CVE-2025-69259 and CVE-2025-69260. Given the critical nature of these vulnerabilities, Trend Micro is urging organizations to implement the patch immediately. They emphasize that temporary mitigations, such as disconnecting affected systems, are insufficient for long-term security.

Apex Central serves as a self-hosted platform that enables organizations to deploy and manage Trend Micro’s endpoint, server, and workload protection products from a single console within their own infrastructure. The recent vulnerabilities highlight the importance of maintaining robust security measures and staying updated with the latest patches to protect against potential threats.
