In a recent Q&A session regarding its third-quarter financial results for the 2025 fiscal year, Capcom disclosed that approximately 50% of its game sales are now attributed to PC platforms. The company anticipates this figure will continue to rise as they enhance their focus on PC gaming.
“As of the third quarter, PC sales account for approximately 50% of total unit sales, and we expect this ratio to continue increasing,” Capcom stated when discussing its strategy for PC development and the technological advancements utilized in Resident Evil Requiem. They further emphasized the importance of their evolving PC development framework, noting that the technical skills acquired from tackling the complexities and performance demands of Monster Hunter Wilds will be instrumental in future projects.
When queried about the strong catalog sales of the Resident Evil series during the third quarter, Capcom provided insights into their expectations for the fourth quarter. “We believe this performance reflects the effectiveness of our pricing measures for catalog titles alongside the launch of new titles, implemented in line with our medium- to long-term title roadmap,” the company explained. They highlighted that the pricing strategies for earlier Resident Evil titles coincided with the growing excitement surrounding the upcoming release of Resident Evil Requiem.
Looking ahead, Capcom plans to maintain promotional activities in the fourth quarter, aiming to further boost catalog sales and capitalize on the momentum generated by their recent pricing strategies.
