Australia-based Monomyth Games has unveiled Photo Roboto: A Timesnap Adventure, an innovative cozy photo adventure game that introduces players to the unique Timewarp Camera. This remarkable device allows users to capture images not just of the present, but also of the past, future, and beyond. Scheduled for release on PC via Steam in 2027, this game promises to offer a fresh experience in the gaming landscape.
Tristram Geary, co-founder of Monomyth Games, shared insights into the development process, stating, “It’s been a long and exploratory journey to reach this point. Photo Roboto is completely different from our previous game in almost every way imaginable: genre, tone, gameplay. We’ve had to evolve and rebuild our whole approach to game design, and we can’t wait for players to explore the island of Pallacanezza for themselves.”
About the Game
Photo Roboto: A Timesnap Adventure invites players to run a photography business with a delightful twist. As Peppino, a charming little robot aspiring to earn a Timewarp Camera License, players will set up shop on a picturesque Italian island alongside friends Sophia and Marco. The objective is to build a successful photography business while navigating the vibrant landscape.
Players will engage in various activities, from strolling and running to jumping and boating around the island, all in pursuit of customers and photo opportunities. However, the island faces an unexpected challenge when the mayor imposes a closure due to a mysterious “Curse,” jeopardizing both the business and the island’s future. To restore normalcy, players must unravel the mystery of the Curse while assisting a colorful cast of eccentric locals, each with their own unique requests and problems.
As players progress, they will collect new camera lenses, unlocking exciting new abilities and customizing their shop and character. The journey promises to be filled with creativity and exploration, encouraging players to find inventive ways to utilize their Timewarp Camera.
