This month, Mojang captivated fans with their latest Minecraft LIVE show, a biannual event that showcases upcoming content for the beloved game. The recent presentation revealed a wealth of exciting updates, including the eagerly anticipated release date for The Copper Age and a thrilling collaboration with Dragon Ball Z. Here’s a closer look at the highlights from Minecraft LIVE 2025.
The Copper Age
Set to launch on September 30th, The Copper Age introduces a host of new features, including the innovative Copper Golem. This helpful companion will assist players in organizing items within their bases. Additionally, the update will enhance early-game tool and weapon progression, offering new copper tools, armor, and weaponry for players to explore.
Mounts of Mayhem
Later this year, players can look forward to the Mounts of Mayhem update, which promises to enrich the gameplay experience with several new features. Among these is The Nautilus, a rideable underwater mob designed to aid exploration in the ocean depths. Furthermore, a new spear will be introduced, marking the return of tiered weapons, allowing players to craft it from various materials, each offering unique attributes.
The spear’s mechanics are particularly intriguing; players can jab or execute a charge attack, but timing is crucial. Holding the charge too long may diminish its effectiveness. Additionally, the spear’s damage output is influenced by the player’s movement speed—accelerating on a mount will amplify the impact of each strike.
Dragon Ball Z
Fans of Dragon Ball Z have much to celebrate with the announcement of a collaboration with Minecraft, set to debut later this year. A free Super Saiyan hair character creation item is already available for download, with more exciting content on the horizon.
The show also featured an animation for the game’s Happy Ghast feature, alongside a new tutorial aimed at beginners and heartwarming stories shared by players from around the globe. For those who missed the live event, the entire show is available for viewing online.
