Developer Glass Bottom Games has unveiled its upcoming title, Verminsteel, an anthropomorphic hack-and-slash action game set to launch on PC via Steam in 2027. The announcement has generated considerable excitement among gaming enthusiasts, with the game promising a unique blend of community-driven themes and engaging gameplay.
Megan Fox, the founder of Glass Bottom Games, articulated the core message behind Verminsteel, stating, “Neighbors coming together to defend the community is the founding principle driving Crow and their friends forward throughout their quest, and is a principle we as humans must remember as well. In Verminsteel, players will wield an array of weapons—from swords and Molotov cocktails to frying pans—while taking on the role of a crow warrior. The game invites players to battle against occupying forces, engaging in epic confrontations with thousands of opponents and strategically claiming key points to gain an upper hand. The mission is clear: push back against the fascist Verminsteel forces and restore peace to the land of Fragaria.
Players will experience cinematic battles across the picturesque Fragarian countryside, executing killer combos with broadswords to defeat a variety of foes, including hostile rats, pigs, hawks, and stoats. As players progress, they will encounter townsfolk in peril, rescuing them from the clutches of the Verminsteel and receiving rewards in the form of upgraded weaponry, combat skills, and other valuable treasures.
