Founded in 2021 by Casey Hudson, the former general manager of BioWare, Humanoid Origin embarked on an ambitious journey to create a new science-fiction universe. Despite the studio’s promising beginnings, the broader economic landscape proved too formidable to navigate successfully.
In their heartfelt message, the team expressed deep sorrow over the unfinished vision they had nurtured. “We’re heartbroken that we will not be able to bring our new science-fiction universe to completion,” they stated. However, their primary focus remains on the well-being of their employees. “Our main concern at this time, however, is for our team, and we are committed to supporting them in their transition to new employment,” they added.
