This year marks an exciting new chapter for the LL community, as a Minecraft server opens its virtual doors to all members and their friends. The initiative aims to foster creativity and camaraderie beyond the traditional realms of baseball and in-person gatherings. Players are encouraged to join throughout the season to construct homes, farms, ships, and any other imaginative creations they desire.
The centerpiece of this community endeavor is an ambitious 1:1 scale replica of T-Mobile Park. A dedicated group has been diligently working on this project for over a week, and the anticipation to share it with the wider community is palpable. With the playing field nearing completion, the focus is now shifting to the stadium structure itself. This substantial undertaking will require collaboration in gathering materials, landscaping, and construction. However, the community’s spirit assures that together, they will bring this vision to life.
Participation in the ballpark project is entirely optional. Members are welcome to venture far and wide, building their own unique structures in the wilderness. The essence of this initiative is inclusivity; the more participants, the more vibrant the server will become.
How to join!
The server operates on the Java Edition of Minecraft, currently running version 1.21.4 (with an update to 1.21.5 on the horizon). Here’s a simple guide to join:
- Open the Minecraft launcher and select “Java Edition” on the left-hand side.
- At the top of the window, click “Installations” and then “New installation.”
- Select version 1.21.4 from the version dropdown menu, and then click install.
- In the main menu, select “Multiplayer” and then “Add server” in the bottom right. You can name the server anything you like, and for the server address, enter “173.0.153.129:28754.”
With these steps completed, you are ready to connect to the server and immerse yourself in the fun. Should you need assistance at any point, the community is eager to help. The anticipation is high, and the excitement to see what everyone will create is palpable.
