Spider-Man 2 Swings onto PC
As the first anniversary of the highly praised Spider-Man 2 for PS5 approaches, developer Insomniac has exciting news for fans: the superhero sequel is set to make its debut on PC on January 30th of next year.
While specific details regarding platform enhancements remain under wraps, Insomniac has confirmed that the PC version will include the original game along with all the additional content released through various free post-launch updates. For those eager to dive into the web-slinging action, here’s what PC players can expect:
- 14 new suits
- New Game+
- Ultimate Levels
- New Symbiote Suit Styles
- Time of Day options
- Post-Game Achievements
- Action Figure Mode in Photo Mode
- Screen Reader and Audio Descriptions
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, featuring the thrilling escapades of dual protagonists Peter Parker and Miles Morales, will be available in two distinct versions on PC. The standard edition encompasses all the aforementioned features, while a more premium Digital Deluxe Edition offers additional perks.
The Deluxe Edition includes everything from the standard version, plus ten exclusive suits—five for each hero—and early access to Peter’s Arachknight suit, Miles’ Shadow-Spider suit, and the Web Grabber gadget. Additionally, it provides players with +5 skill points and extra items for photo mode. For those who prefer the standard edition, pre-ordering will still grant access to the Arachknight suit, Shadow-Spider suit, Web Grabber, and +3 skill points.
While Sony has yet to announce pricing for either version, both will be available for purchase on Steam and the Epic Games Store starting January 30th.
With its engaging gameplay and vibrant atmosphere, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has garnered acclaim from critics. Eurogamer’s Chris Tapsell highlighted the game’s enjoyable vibes, noting that “simple side activities where you find basic collectibles and lob bin lids at disturbers of the peace are exactly the right accompaniment.” This sentiment reflects the overall enthusiasm surrounding the game, making it a noteworthy addition to any PC gamer’s library.
