My career as a weed farmer was derailed by my unslakeable lust for golf

In the ever-evolving landscape of modding for Grand Theft Auto V, the quest to enhance the game continues unabated. Today’s endeavor involved the installation of a mod known as WeedFarm, which promises an immersive experience of cultivating, harvesting, and selling cannabis within the game’s expansive world. However, the reality proved to be a bit more complicated than anticipated.

Mod Installation Challenges

Upon diving into the mod, it became evident that while the foundational elements—such as the farms and the dealer—were indeed present, the core functionality of harvesting remained elusive. Despite the mod’s assurances, the ability to gather even a single bud was frustratingly out of reach.

The challenge appears to stem from a conflict with other mods, particularly one related to golf and another involving a jetpack. The controls for WeedFarm are reportedly fixed, with the key to access its menu mapped to F3. Coincidentally, this same key is also assigned to the street golfing mod and the jetpack feature. As a result, every attempt to engage with the farming system inadvertently launched a golfing session instead.

A Frustrating Cycle

This peculiar overlap has created a rather awkward predicament for the modder. Attempts to interact with the dealer in hopes of sidestepping the control issue yielded no success. In a moment of exasperation, a melee attack on the dealer’s door resulted in an unexpected explosion, leaving the modder puzzled about the new mechanics at play.

As the journey through the modding landscape continues, the quest for a seamless integration of WeedFarm remains ongoing. Tomorrow promises the potential for new discoveries—or perhaps further misadventures in the world of GTA V modding.
