PC Gamer’s Game of the Year Awards 2024

PC Gamer is set to embark on its annual celebration of gaming excellence with the much-anticipated Game of the Year awards. This year has proven to be a fascinating chapter in the realm of PC gaming, characterized by a blend of significant releases alongside a plethora of remarkable titles that cater to specific niches. Throughout the month, the publication will honor this diversity by showcasing the finest games of 2024, culminating in the grand announcement of the official Game of the Year on December 30.

To curate this esteemed list, the editorial team, comprising over 30 members, was invited to nominate up to six games released in 2024. These nominations formed the foundation of the shortlist. Following this, a global conference call was convened, where spirited discussions and a few tiebreaker votes led to the selection of 14 games that will receive accolades, including the coveted title of Game of the Year. Each game will be assigned an award category that highlights its unique strengths, resulting in a tailored set of award names that evolve each year.
