Resident Evil Survival Unit: A New Mobile Spin-Off Game
Less than a month after the announcement of Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom surprises fans with another new entry in the franchise. However, this time it’s not a traditional console game, but a mobile spin-off for iOS and Android called Resident Evil Survival Unit.
Set to be fully revealed in a showcase on July 10 at 6pm ET, the game is being co-developed by Aniplex Inc and Korean developer Joycity. Joycity, known for its strategy games like Disney Realm Breakers and Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War, promises to expand the global fanbase of Resident Evil to mobile platforms.
Resident Evil Survival Unit aims to offer players a new approach to the series while ensuring authenticity and quality through close collaboration with Capcom. The game will introduce a new character, Grace Ashcroft, and offer both first-person and third-person gameplay perspectives from launch.
