New Minecraft Pack DLC for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Set to Launch
SEGA has unveiled an exciting addition to its popular racing title, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, with the upcoming release of the Minecraft Pack DLC. Scheduled to launch on October 8, this expansion introduces beloved characters Alex, Steve, and Creeper, alongside a vibrant Minecraft-themed course and vehicle that promises to enhance the racing experience.
The Minecraft Pack is part of the game’s Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition, ensuring that fans have access to this creative crossover. Following the DLC’s release, players can also participate in a special in-game event, the Minecraft Festival, which will take place from October 9 at 5:00 p.m. PDT / 8:00 p.m. EDT until October 11 at 4:59 p.m. PDT / 7:59 p.m. EDT.

A collaboration between Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is also on the horizon, with a PAC-MAN DLC Pack set to arrive in early 2026, while PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC will feature a Sonic the Hedgehog DLC Pack in late 2025.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is currently available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. For those looking forward to the digital Nintendo Switch 2 version, it is expected to launch during the holiday season of 2025, with a physical copy following in early 2026. Additionally, a single-player demo of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is now accessible for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Notably, save data from the demo will carry over to the full game, with the exception of Time Trial records and user settings changes.
