The launch of the game on Chromebooks and Android tablets, which is expected “in the coming weeks” following “Squid Game” Season 3’s debut on Netflix Friday, marks the first time a Netflix exclusive game has been made available on these platforms.
According to Google, “You’ll be able to experience immersive gameplay on a bigger screen, with keyboard and mouse support, updated control layouts and graphics that take full advantage of your device’s display.”
Variety has been told that “Squid Game: Unleashed” (both for these new platforms and the existing Netflix gaming apps for iOS and Android) will receive post-“Squid Game” Season 3 updates tied to specific plot points from the show’s final season.
“Bringing ‘Squid Game: Unleashed’ to Chromebooks allows fans to experience the game like never before,” game director Bill Jackson said. “With a bigger canvas, players can further immerse themselves in the game’s chaos and fun, making each round even more memorable.”

Sega dropped a new trailer for “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds” during the Kids’ Choice Awards Saturday revealing that characters from Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob SquarePants” will be featured in the upcoming racing game. The video also hinted at upcoming in-game collaborations for more Paramount-owned IP, including the “Avatar: The Last Airbender” universe and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
Per Sega, “By purchasing the ‘Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ Digital Deluxe Edition, fans can experience the Season Pass, which includes the Nickelodeon content as well as the recently announced ‘Minecraft’ characters, vehicles, and tracks, characters from the hit Netflix series, ‘Sonic Prime,’ and two more yet-to-be-announced collaborations. Players can look forward to more details surrounding the Season Pass and Nickelodeon content soon!”
“Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds” will be released Sept. 25.
