Two Point Museum’s latest update lets you manage a museum atop a massive mountain, and allows all players a taste of its upcoming fantasy-themed DLC

Late last month, Two Point Studios introduced the first paid downloadable content (DLC) for its acclaimed management simulation game, Two Point Museum. This expansion, aptly named Fantasy Finds, promises to enrich the gameplay experience with a treasure trove of new artifacts to discover and display. However, initial impressions raised questions regarding the absence of a new museum scenario within the campaign, which many believed would have complemented the expansion beautifully.

In a delightful twist, it has come to light that Two Point Studios had plans for a new museum all along. Rather than being included in the paid DLC, this exciting addition is part of the game’s free 4.0 update. The new museum, dubbed Pointy Mountains, serves as the grand finale to the base game, unlocking once players achieve curator rank 7. Nestled on the edge of a dramatic icy crevasse, Pointy Mountains stands as the largest museum in the game to date.

Exploring Pointy Mountains

The narrative surrounding Pointy Mountains revolves around the mysterious disappearance of a curator on its treacherous slopes. Players will embark on an investigative journey, unveiling a new exhibit while simultaneously expanding the museum and catering to the needs of their guests.

The 4.0 update brings more than just the Pointy Mountains museum. Two Point Studios is also offering a taste of the Fantasy Finds DLC to all players. This “taster” pack grants access to the first three points of interest on the DLC’s fantasy-themed expedition map, allowing players to collect six whimsical fairytale exhibits to display alongside their dinosaur skeletons and carnivorous plants.

Additionally, the taster introduces new guest types, including wandering goblins, and features charming gift shop items such as gnomish onesies for younger visitors. Players will also encounter one of the DLC’s fantasy experts, along with various subclasses. Two Point Studios emphasizes that this taster is not merely a demo; everything unlocked from the initial three points of interest is theirs to keep.

However, for those eager to explore beyond the horizon of the third point of interest, the full DLC will be available for purchase when it launches on July 17. In contrast, both the 4.0 update and the Fantasy Finds teaser are currently live, inviting players to dive into the expanded universe of Two Point Museum.
