This forthcoming feature allows users to “circle” or highlight specific areas of an image they upload, thereby directing the AI’s focus to the most pertinent details. This capability aims to refine the user experience, ensuring that the AI can not only describe the image but also independently identify the circled elements without requiring additional input from the user.
Circle to Search, which enables users to encircle a screenshot and initiate a search query, has undergone significant enhancements this year. These improvements coincided with the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, introducing AI Overviews that provide quick, digestible summaries for users seeking immediate information. The AI Overviews encompass various topics, including popular locations, trending images, and a range of visual search queries, making the feature more versatile and user-friendly.
Moreover, Circle to Search has incorporated “one-tap actions,” allowing users to effortlessly extract phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs from the content they interact with. In a notable update last month, Google further expanded the capabilities of Circle to Search by introducing a continuous real-time translation feature.
