In a surprising turn of events, the anticipated release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has been marred by an early leak. Just hours after the pre-load for the PC version opened, a pirated version of the game surfaced on torrent sites, raising eyebrows within the gaming community.
The leak appears to stem from an unencrypted build that was uploaded during the pre-load phase. Developers had likely anticipated the protective measures of Denuvo and Steam’s built-in DRM system, which typically restricts access until the official launch.
However, this did not deter determined pirates. They employed a hypervisor to bypass the security measures, allowing the game to run without official activation. This method necessitates disabling several built-in security features of Windows, showcasing the lengths to which some will go to access new titles.
Release Schedule
The official launch of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on PC is set for July 9. Console players will also gain access to the game as the clock strikes midnight on July 9 in their respective time zones.
