Microsoft is expanding its Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE) to a new lineup of devices, specifically the MSI Claw series. This development comes as part of the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build, which introduces support for the Xbox FSE in a preview format for these handheld gaming devices. The FSE aims to enhance the gaming experience by providing a console-like navigation interface for Windows PC gaming.
Initially launched on the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X earlier this month, the FSE has encountered some challenges, as noted by industry observers. For those eager to try the Xbox FSE on their MSI Claw, it may be prudent to hold off until some of the initial issues are resolved and the feature becomes available outside the Windows Insider program.
To activate the Xbox FSE on compatible devices, users can navigate to Settings > Gaming > Full Screen Experience and select Xbox as their home app. Once enabled, the FSE can be accessed via Task View and Game Bar, or users can configure their handhelds to launch directly into full screen mode upon startup.
In its announcement, Microsoft indicated that more original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will be rolling out support for the Xbox FSE in the coming months. Notably, Lenovo’s Legion Go 2 is already slated to receive this feature next year, signaling a broader adoption of this innovative gaming interface across various handheld devices.
