The majority of essential settings have been integrated into the modern app, leaving only a select few options within the Control Panel. Recently, a new feature has been identified for inclusion in the Windows Settings app: the ability to rename user accounts. This capability has traditionally been confined to the legacy Control Panel, marking a significant step in the ongoing transition.

Although the complete removal of the Control Panel is still on the horizon, the modern Windows Settings app continues to rely on it for certain functionalities. Many minor settings found in the new interface still depend on legacy applets from the Control Panel, highlighting the transitional nature of this shift.
