A significant update has been rolled out for Notchify, a Windows application designed to emulate the Dynamic Island feature of macOS. This latest version enhances performance and introduces an array of new functionalities, including a built-in Clipboard history, marking a promising step forward in the app’s evolution.
Performance and Rendering

Our Editor-in-Chief, Daniel Rubino, recently explored Notchify using an expansive 52-inch Dell Ultrasharp monitor, appreciating the trade-off of sacrificing some screen real estate for enhanced convenience. “I still don’t love the idea of a notch (it’s not my aesthetic), but I can’t deny how practical it is,” Rubino noted. “Having a small, centralized hub for quick info saves me from scanning the corners of my display. It’s one of those things that quietly improves workflow without demanding attention.”
However, it is important to note that Notchify is a third-party application, which means it does not integrate as seamlessly with Windows 11 as macOS does with its Dynamic Island. This can lead to instances where applications do not wrap around Notchify, potentially obscuring content.
