In its announcement, Microsoft stated, “After installing Windows Updates released on or after October 14, 2025, some devices might encounter issues during restart or startup.” The company noted that affected devices may boot directly into the BitLocker recovery screen, prompting users to enter their recovery key. Fortunately, after entering the key and allowing the device to restart, users should be able to resume normal operations without further BitLocker interruptions.
However, there are important considerations for users to keep in mind.
