This announcement was shared via a post on the PlayStation Blog, where the company confirmed that it would be issuing refunds to customers who purchased the game, with plans to take it offline on September 6th.

The decision comes on the heels of a disappointing launch, with reports indicating that Concord managed to sell only 25,000 copies, of which a mere 10,000 were on Steam. In their blog post, PlayStation expressed gratitude to the community, stating, “Concord fans — we’ve been listening closely to your feedback since the launch of Concord on PlayStation 5 and PC and want to thank everyone who has joined the journey aboard the Northstar. Your support and the passionate community that has grown around the game has meant the world to us.”
Despite some positive aspects resonating with players, Sony acknowledged that certain elements of the game and its initial release did not meet expectations. “However, while many qualities of the experience resonated with players, we also recognise that other aspects of the game and our initial launch didn’t land the way we’d intended,” they noted.
