Microsoft Store Web Now Lets You Install Multiple Windows Apps at Once

Microsoft has introduced a new feature to the Microsoft Store website that allows users to install multiple Windows applications simultaneously, a long-awaited enhancement for many. This functionality, first highlighted by Zac Bowden from Windows Central, is designed to streamline the installation process for users who wish to set up their favorite apps without the hassle of navigating through numerous menus.

Multi-App Install Feature

With the newly implemented “Multi-app Install” button, users can select several applications at once and bundle them into a single installer. Upon downloading the generated .exe file, the Microsoft Store seamlessly takes over, initiating the installation of all chosen apps without requiring additional clicks or permissions.

According to Bowden’s report, the installation process is notably swift and efficient. Once the installer is executed, the Microsoft Store quickly begins installing the selected applications. However, there is a limitation to this feature: users can only choose from a curated list of 48 popular apps, which includes well-known names such as Netflix, Instagram, Apple Music, and Spotify. It is anticipated that this list will expand in the near future.

The current selection of available applications is categorized as follows:

Productivity Creativity Social Entertainment Tools & Utilities Personalization
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Canva WhatsApp Spotify PotPlayer Lively Wallpaper
Microsoft Teams CapCut Discord Netflix Speedtest by Ookla f.lux
Zoom Workplace Microsoft Clipchamp Instagram Apple Music NVIDIA Control Panel TranslucentTB
OneNote Adobe Photoshop Express TikTok iTunes BreeZip: RAR & ZIP Extractor Bing Wallpaper

ChatGPT ibis Paint Facebook Hulu Sysinternals Suite Live Wallpapers +
iCloud OBS Studio Snapchat Disney+ EarTrumpet Dynamic Theme

At present, this multi-app installation capability is accessible exclusively through the web version of the Microsoft Store, as the desktop application does not yet support this feature. Users are encouraged to explore this new functionality to enhance their app installation experience.
