Xbox Game Pass is poised to make a significant splash with its upcoming update, set to introduce three new titles that cater to a diverse gaming audience. For the first time this year, the subscription service will feature a day-one game, a much-anticipated Xbox console exclusive, alongside two other notable additions that promise to enhance the gaming experience for subscribers.
Exciting New Additions
All three games will be accessible through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, although it’s worth noting that only two of these titles will be classified as Xbox Game Pass Premium additions. Unfortunately, subscribers to the Xbox Game Pass Essential tier will not see any new content added to their library at this time.
A Trio of Highlights
The standout title among the new releases is Replaced. This game is particularly noteworthy for several reasons: it marks a day-one release, it has been highly anticipated since its reveal in 2021, and it is an Xbox console exclusive available on Xbox Series X and PC at launch. Developed by the Belarusian studio Sad Cat Studios, Replaced has generated excitement, though potential players may approach it with cautious optimism given its status as a debut title from a new developer.
In addition to Replaced, players can look forward to Hades II from Supergiant Games. While not a day-one addition, this title will be available for the first time on Xbox Game Pass, making it a significant draw for subscribers. Scheduled for release on April 14, it will be the first time Xbox Series X users can access this acclaimed roguelike action RPG, which has already garnered a stellar rating of 95/100 on Metacritic, making it the highest-rated game of 2025.
Lastly, The Thaumaturge, an RPG developed by Fool’s Theory and 11 Bit Studios, will also join the lineup. This title, which debuted in 2024 and received a respectable rating of 74, will be available for the first time on the subscription service, adding to the variety for RPG enthusiasts.
It’s important to note that Replaced will not be available to Xbox Game Pass Premium subscribers, a common practice for day-one releases, which are typically reserved for Ultimate and PC tiers. Subscribers can enjoy a 20% discount on each title while they remain available, although the duration of their availability across different tiers remains uncertain.
