The rollout of Google Maps Immersive Navigation continues, featuring a redesigned interface that utilizes edge-to-edge maps for a more engaging visual experience. For vehicles equipped with “Google built-in” (Android Automotive), this update will include live lane guidance, leveraging the vehicle’s front-facing camera to deliver real-time lane assistance.
Moreover, Android Automotive vehicles will benefit from upgraded media applications and the introduction of audio-only modes from Android Auto. Excitingly, a Zoom app for Android Auto is also anticipated to launch within the year, further expanding the platform’s functionality.
Introducing Gemini Intelligence
Another significant addition is the forthcoming Gemini Intelligence, which aims to enhance user interaction by understanding context and facilitating tasks on behalf of the driver.
