Where to find the key code to Carter’s PC in Directive 8020

One of the first challenges players encounter in Episode 2 is accessing Carter’s PC, a task made simpler by the straightforward nature of its password. Instead of a complex string of characters, the key code comprises just four digits: 2808. Alternatively, you may also use 0828 to gain entry.

The clue to this password lies in a post-it note affixed to the front of Carter’s monitor, which reads “Luna’s” with an arrow pointing directly at the screen. To uncover the password, players should exit Carter’s room and head into Crew Quarters, turning right to find a calendar on the wall. By approaching the calendar and clicking the left mouse button, players will reveal the month of August.

On the 28th of August, the calendar boldly marks “Luna’s Birthday.” This date, combined with the month, serves as the key to unlocking Carter’s PC. Whether you input the date first or the month does not affect the outcome; both combinations will successfully grant access to the computer.

Once the code is entered, a cutscene will unfold, featuring Simms entering Crew Quarters, followed by a new objective directing players to follow her. It is important to note that after this cutscene, interaction with Carter’s PC is no longer possible. The primary purpose of this access is to propel the narrative forward, raising Eisele’s suspicions as players continue their journey through Crew Quarters and into the Lounge, where the story progresses with further revelations displayed on the monitor.
