GrammaCrackers’ foray into the world of Twitch streaming and YouTube content creation began in October 2025. Initially captivated by Minecraft, she has since expanded her repertoire to include popular titles such as Rocket League and Roblox. Notably, she celebrated her first Victory Royale in Fortnite just last month. Yet, her loyal Twitch community has consistently drawn her back to Minecraft, leading her to undertake a monumental livestream challenge on May 4 titled “Not Ending Until I Beat Minecraft,” which continues to this day.
However, the path to her goal has been unexpectedly fraught with challenges, including a distressing incident on May 19 when she was swatted during her live stream. In a video shared on her official YouTube channel, GrammaCrackers recounted the surreal experience of having approximately five SWAT vehicles, twenty police cars, drones, and a heavily armed police presence descend upon her home in the early hours of the morning. The officers, responding to a false alarm, entered her property and roused her from sleep.
Despite the alarming nature of the event, GrammaCrackers exhibited remarkable resilience, describing the experience as “kinda fun.” In her video, she humorously reflected on the situation: “I was asleep—I was so asleep, I did not wanna get up. These policemen came in the door…the prettiest policewoman I’ve ever seen—beautiful eyes, so sweet, but I think she could kick butt if she needed to…they walked me out, and I didn’t know what was going on, but it was kinda fun.”
She further shared the warmth of the moment, saying, “My grandkids and my kid, they were hugging me. You know, you can’t get that much attention normally. I was getting all kinds of hugs. I was really eating it up! It was kinda fun.” While her lighthearted attitude is commendable, it’s essential to remember the gravity of the situation: an 81-year-old woman was targeted while striving to support her grandson’s medical needs.
