Sloclap brings Sifu to Mobile Devices
One of the best martial arts games of recent years is set to make its way to your pocket. Sloclap has announced that Sifu will be launching on iPhone, iPad, and Android on October 12, bringing the beloved game to mobile devices.
Originally released in 2022, Sifu is a third-person action game centered around Pak-Mei Kung Fu. Players take on the role of a character seeking revenge for the murder of their family, navigating through various environments such as nightclubs, galleries, and office buildings.
Sifu’s combat mechanics focus on timing, positioning, and learning from mistakes. Players must master dodging, parrying, and chaining attacks together while utilizing objects and weapons found throughout the game.
Death in Sifu is unique, as a mysterious amulet revives the protagonist after defeat, but at the cost of aging. Multiple deaths can complicate future encounters, adding an interesting twist to the gameplay.
For the mobile release, Sloclap has not simply added virtual buttons to the existing game. The developer has adapted Sifu with new touchscreen controls, improved contextual interactions, and a revamped camera system. Full controller support is also available for those who prefer a console-like experience on their mobile devices.
The mobile version of Sifu includes the complete story campaign, offering the same content as the console and PC versions. The game is available for pre-registration on Google Play for Android users and requires a 2.1GB download on iOS devices running iOS or iPadOS 18.0 or later.
Sifu will be launching on iPhone, iPad, and Android on October 12, joining its existing availability on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.
