Ambrosia Sky: Act One made its debut in November 2025, introducing players to the immersive narrative of Dalia, a spacefaring researcher navigating the decaying remnants of a once-thriving station now overrun by fungi. Initially, developer Soft Rains envisioned a trilogy, with two additional paid acts to follow. However, plans have shifted, and the studio is now set to conclude Dalia’s poignant journey in a free update, Ambrosia Sky: Act Two, slated for release later this year.
New Developments in Dalia’s Journey
According to a press release from Soft Rains, “Act Two completes Dalia’s search for answers behind the crisis engulfing The Cluster and her race to find Maeve.” This upcoming installment promises to resolve the mysteries introduced in Act One while expanding the gameplay experience with:
- New mission locations
- Fresh exo-fungus to harvest and confront
- An updated progression system featuring new upgrades
Soft Rains emphasized that by condensing the final acts of Ambrosia Sky, the studio can focus its development efforts on crafting a cohesive and polished conclusion to Dalia’s quest for belonging.
In a conversation with PC Gamer, narrative director Kait Tremblay and studio head Joel Burgess revealed that the decision to pivot the studio’s approach stemmed from player feedback. The community’s deep emotional investment in Dalia’s story highlighted the need for a more streamlined and impactful narrative rather than a fragmented three-act structure.
For those eager to embark on Dalia’s adventure, Ambrosia Sky: Act One is currently available on Steam. Owners of Act One will receive the concluding Act Two as a complimentary update upon its release. However, it’s worth noting that once Act Two is launched, the price of Ambrosia Sky will rise from to for new players, reflecting the game’s enriched and complete experience.
To celebrate the upcoming release, Soft Rains is offering a 15% discount on Act One until March 13, making it an opportune moment for newcomers to dive into Dalia’s captivating journey.
