Alan Wake heads to Phasmophobia next month in a new limited-time event, because we all know writers love a deadline

Phasmophobia’s Exciting Collaboration with Alan Wake 2

In a significant shift from its traditional seasonal celebrations, Phasmophobia is set to embrace a fresh collaboration that promises to invigorate its gameplay experience. During the recent Twitch Galaxies Showcase, Kinetic Games unveiled its first-ever partnership with another title, Alan Wake 2. This collaboration feels particularly apt, given the character Mr. Scratch, who aligns perfectly with the game’s demon archetype.

Players won’t have to wait long to immerse themselves in this unique crossover. The event, aptly named Phasmophobia by Alan Wake, is scheduled to commence on May 12, following the conclusion of the annual Easter festivities. As with previous events, participants can expect to earn various in-game rewards, including ID cards, character cosmetics, and possibly a trophy, although specific details remain under wraps.

Corey Dixon, the art director at Kinetic Games, shared insights with PC Gamer regarding the future of this collaboration. He confirmed that there are currently no plans to rerun the Alan Wake event, despite expressing enthusiasm about the synergy between the two game worlds. “If it’s something the players like and they’re happy with, then it’s something we could revisit,” Dixon noted, leaving the door open for potential future collaborations.

The journey of Phasmophobia has been remarkable, evolving from a modest puzzle concept into a genre-defining powerhouse, now boasting over 28 million copies sold—approximately 23 million of which are on PC alone. As anticipation builds for the upcoming event, collectors and fans alike should mark their calendars, as the Phasmophobia by Alan Wake event will run until June 2, offering a limited-time opportunity to secure exclusive in-game rewards.
