Arc Raiders breaks 100,000 concurrent players in the first 30 minutes of going live and rising, soaring to the top of Steam’s best sellers

The green line on Arc Raiders’ SteamDB page continues its impressive ascent, now boasting 202,498 concurrent players. This upward trend has been consistent throughout the day, suggesting that further updates on this phenomenon are likely to follow.

Today marks the official launch of Arc Raiders, inviting players to venture topside and dismantle the nefarious AI Arc robots for valuable parts and trinkets for Scrappy. As I prepare to dive into the game myself, it’s evident that a significant number of players are eager to join in on the action.

Launching at 5:30 AM EDT / 2:30 AM PDT / 9:30 AM GMT, the game has already reached an all-time high of 103,975 players at launch—a remarkable feat, especially considering that many potential players in the U.S. may still be waking up.

In addition to its impressive player count, Arc Raiders has ascended to the top of Steam’s best-sellers list, surpassing notable titles such as Battlefield 6, The Outer Worlds 2, and Dispatch. This surge in popularity is particularly encouraging for those anticipating a lucrative loot experience once the game fully launches.

During the beta weekend, which saw over 185,000 players engage without any progress carrying over, Arc Raiders ranked as the 89th most popular game by concurrent players. The enthusiasm displayed during the beta suggests that launch day could see even higher numbers, with current concurrent players already exceeding 150,000 and continuing to rise.

Personally, my experience with Arc Raiders has been surprisingly enjoyable. As someone who typically finds Escape from Tarkov a bit too intense, this extraction shooter offers a refreshing alternative without the overwhelming hardcore elements—though I must admit, the robotic spiders do present quite the challenge.
