CHARTS: New content brings Helldivers 2 back to Steam Top Ten

The recent introduction of the Illuminate faction in the multiplayer shooter Helldivers 2 has sparked renewed interest in the game, propelling it from a modest No. 42 to an impressive fifth place in the Steam rankings. This marks the third faction added to the game, showcasing the developers’ commitment to expanding the Helldivers universe.

Shifts in the Rankings

In the competitive landscape of gaming, Counter-Strike 2 has reclaimed its position at the top, nudging Path of Exile 2 down to second place. The Steam Deck, Valve’s innovative hardware, continues to hold strong at No. 3, while NetEase’s hero shooter Marvel Rivals maintains its fourth-place status.

Notably, Total War: Warhammer 3 experienced a remarkable resurgence, climbing from No. 74 to No. 6, largely attributed to a generous 60 percent discount that has captured the attention of bargain-hunting gamers. Meanwhile, PUBG: Battlegrounds slipped two spots to seventh, reflecting the dynamic nature of player preferences.

Cyberpunk 2077 has made a notable comeback, landing in eighth place, thanks to a substantial 55 percent price reduction that has reignited interest in the title. Warframe also made waves by re-entering the Top Ten at ninth, a significant leap from No. 27, fueled by the launch of the new Warframe 1999 game from Digital Extremes.

Completing the Top Ten is Throne and Liberty, a collaboration between NCSoft and Amazon, showcasing the diverse offerings available to gamers this week.
