Indie developer Patattie Games, in collaboration with publisher Curve Games, has announced the upcoming launch of Wax Heads, a cozy-punk narrative simulation centered around the challenges of running a struggling record shop. Set to debut on May 5, 2026, the game will be accessible on multiple platforms including Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. A new trailer is available for viewing, offering a glimpse into the vibrant world of the game.
Experience the Charm of Repeater Records
In Wax Heads, players assume the role of the newest team member at Repeater Records, a beloved vinyl shop renowned for its knack for matching customers with the perfect records. As the shop navigates the complexities of a shifting music landscape, players will engage with an array of eccentric customers, making choices that can either lead to meaningful connections or casual downtime with co-workers.
Before the official release, players will have the opportunity to explore a playable demo during February’s Steam Next Fest, which runs from February 23 to March 3, allowing them to experience life behind the counter ahead of time.
This game artfully combines engaging puzzle mechanics with visual storytelling, serving as a heartfelt tribute to music culture. Players will uncover over 80 in-game records, interact with more than 60 hand-drawn characters, and enjoy over 30 original songs performed by the developers and their close circle.
