Dragon Age: The Veilguard has made its presence known on the Xbox app, where it is now listed for PC Game Pass users. For those eager to dive into this immersive experience, a game trial is available through EA Play, allowing players to sample the adventure before committing fully.
In but not in Game Pass?
Interestingly, while the console version of Dragon Age: The Veilguard does not display the Game Pass tag in its store listing, a “PC Game Pass” version can be found when searching the store. This version offers a playable trial exclusively on PC, creating a slight discrepancy between platforms.
There’s speculation that the PC store listing may have been prematurely published or simply overlooked in prior updates. The title recently joined PS Plus Extra and was anticipated to become available on Game Pass Ultimate through EA Play. However, this transition typically takes a significant amount of time, often exceeding a year before games are added to the “vault.”
The Veilguard
Having reviewed the game last year, I can confidently say that it left a lasting impression, earning a perfect score of 10. While many reviews tend to start with a “Best Game of the Year” accolade, this one boldly claims, “One of the best video games ever made.” As a long-time fan of BioWare and the Dragon Age series, I believe that The Veilguard stands as their finest achievement to date.
This title serves as a thrilling culmination of the previous three games, enriching the lore in ways that exceeded my expectations. Players are drawn into a narrative where Solas, the Dread Wolf, threatens to pierce the veil, prompting a quest to uncover the reasons behind this impending crisis. Over nearly sixty hours of gameplay, I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions—failing, triumphing, forging relationships, and making heart-wrenching decisions. Each choice I made, whether it involved relationships or factions, intricately shaped the story’s conclusion, resulting in a truly glorious experience.
