Video game luminaries David Hayter and Maggie Robertson have been selected to co-host the upcoming Future Games Show at gamescom. Scheduled for August 20, this highly anticipated event promises to showcase over 50 titles from renowned publishers such as Bandai Namco, Electronic Arts, and Capcom, featuring a mix of world premieres and new demos.

The Future Games Show, organized by Future PLC—parent company of Tom’s Hardware—will commence at 2 p.m. EDT / 11 a.m. PDT / 7 p.m. BST. Viewers can catch the live broadcast across various platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, BiliBili, and GamesRadar.com.
David Hayter, celebrated for his iconic portrayal of Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series, brings a wealth of experience to the hosting role. In addition to his voice acting, Hayter has made his mark as a writer on notable films such as X-Men and X2: X-Men United, as well as Netflix’s Warrior Nun. This will not be his first time at the helm; he previously hosted the show in 2020.
Maggie Robertson, on the other hand, is recognized for her striking performance as the towering and enigmatic Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village. She has also lent her talents to the role of Orin the Red in the acclaimed 2023 RPG Baldur’s Gate 3.
In addition to the Future Games Show, Future will present two other Gamescom events. The first, “FGS Live From Gamescom,” will serve as a multi-format showcase featuring additional trailers and premieres immediately following the main show. The second, “FGS Best of Gamescom,” is set to air on Sunday, August 24, offering booth tours, developer interviews, gameplay demos, and more.
