During the event, Sonic Team’s Takashi Iizuka took the stage with a playful tone, highlighting that Sonic Racing CrossWorlds will feature cross-play capabilities, a notable distinction from “a certain other kart racer.” This feature is expected to enhance the multiplayer experience, allowing players from different platforms to compete against one another seamlessly.

Set to launch on September 25th, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds will be available across multiple platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. The introduction of Travel Rings will also allow racers to traverse into various dimensions, adding an innovative twist to the gameplay.
