Minecraft and Adidas have once again joined forces, this time unveiling a collaboration that not only enhances the gaming experience but also introduces a tangible collection for fans. The partnership offers players a unique blend of in-game content alongside a real-world apparel line.
New Companions
The latest addition to the Minecraft universe is the Adidas Adventurer add-on, featuring three new companions designed to assist players on their quests:
- The Coach
- The Mascot
- The Teammate
Each companion provides passive benefits such as damage buffs, hunger prevention, and protection against lava. They also come equipped with active abilities that enhance gameplay:
- The Coach can highlight ore blocks, teleport players, and grant a jump boost when elytra wings are equipped. Engaging with the Coach allows access to a Quest list, presenting players with milestones to achieve.
- The Mascot excels at gathering crops and locating items, making resource collection more efficient.
- The Teammate is a reliable ally in combat, aiding players in fending off hostile mobs.
The Quest list serves as a roadmap for players, guiding them through various challenges alongside their companions.
Lootbox and Armour
Upon completing milestones, players are rewarded with Adidas lootboxes:
- Blue lootboxes contain a variety of random in-game items.
- Red lootboxes offer exclusive Adidas-themed armour featuring diverse designs.
This Adidas armour is not only enchantable but also fully functional, providing players with abilities such as water breathing, super jump, and damage reflection. One standout item, the Adidas Bucket Hat, enhances visibility under lava, although it does not confer fireproofing.
IRL Collection
The collaboration extends into the physical realm with a collection that includes hats, sneakers, shorts, and more. However, it is worth noting that this collection is currently unavailable in India, limiting access for some fans.
