Pixel Party Free Add On

Two friends recently returned from an adventure, regaling me with tales of a sprawling arcade brimming with exhilarating, challenging, and whimsical games. They competed fiercely for leaderboard supremacy, conquering scores and overcoming obstacles to claim an array of prizes, from cosmetic items to collectible plushies, not to mention arcade staples like popcorn, hotdogs, and slushies. The nostalgic checkered floor added to the charm of their experience.

“Ah!” I exclaimed, “How did you two get early access to the Minecraft summer free add-on?”

My friends exchanged puzzled glances, but I remained undeterred. Indeed, inspired by the recent Chaos Cubed drop and its themes of unpredictable play and exploration, we are thrilled to announce the release of the free Chaos Cubed: Pixel Party add-on by Hogskull Labs. And at the heart of this experience? Arcade games!

A game within a game within a game?

Upon installing the Pixel Party add-on, players will embark on a quest to locate the elusive Arcade Cave. While my friends insist they visited “Copenhagen,” I know the true location lies within the sulfur caves biome. Once you dig deep enough to uncover the Arcade Cave, you’ll encounter five unique arcade machines waiting to be explored.

Engaging with a machine transports you into a contained minigame—immersing you in a literal game within a game. Or, if you consider the machine itself, a game within a game within a game.

Each game leverages the unique physics properties of sulfur cubes. Experience the thrill of bouncing speeding cubes in Netherball, dominate tank battles by launching explosive cubes in Metal Mania, unleash paint cubes from cannons in Paint Frenzy, and chase high scores by maneuvering a cube around an End-themed arena in Void Pinball!

The best part? Collect all five games and bring the excitement back to your base, allowing you to construct your own arcade without the need for extensive travel.

The winner takes it all

Don’t overlook the rewards! There are two categories: challenge rewards and prizes available at the Reward Kiosk.

Challenge rewards function as follows: each time you engage with one of the games (excluding Paint Frenzy), you have the opportunity to conquer three specific challenges. These challenges are unique to each player and progress carries over between sessions. Objectives may include achieving a certain score, winning consecutively, or other surprises! Completing these challenges grants a one-time reward: one of ten collectible pet spawners. These spawners introduce persistent companions into your world, featuring a pirate crab and a whimsical frog wearing a wizard hat—need I say more?

The Rewards Kiosk is where you’ll find an array of cosmetics, plushies, and consumables. Earn tickets by playing on the machines—better performance translates to more tickets! Indulge in candyfloss, churros, or soda, collect stylish cosmetics like a cyberpunk neon jacket, neon samurai mask, or pixel dragon wings, or claim a plushie as undeniable proof of your gaming prowess.

DIY Arcade

For those with a creative flair, this add-on serves as an invaluable toolkit. In Creative Mode, you’ll discover basketball hoops, pinball flippers, hover bumpers, cube spawners, and more—empowering world builders to craft their own competitive experiences without the need for complex scripting.

Find the free Chaos Cubed: Pixel Party add-on at the Minecraft Marketplace and immerse yourself in an arcade experience like no other. After all, where else would you need to dodge skeletons, witches, creepers, and noxious gases to access a game arcade?
