Newcore Games, the creative force behind The Devil Within: Satgat, has unveiled its latest project, 7 Trials, a captivating roguelite action game that invites players into a “twisted afterlife.” This innovative title will be accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam and Stove.

According to its Steam page, 7 Trials is set in a world where the boundary between the living and the dead has collapsed, creating a realm suspended between two realities.
A Distorted Existence: The Seocheon 49
The once-ordinary Seocheon Academy has been engulfed in a blinding white flash, transforming it into a Fixed Liminal Realm—neither fully alive nor completely dead. Players will assume the role of Yeoubi, a temporary Reaper contracted with Yeomra Solutions, tasked with uncovering the secrets of the Karma Proliferation Reactors hidden throughout the school. The mission involves untangling the obsessions binding seven lost souls before time runs out.
Reforge the Art of Battle: The “Trinity” System
Players can transcend simple upgrades by redesigning the very mechanics of combat itself through the innovative “Trinity” system:
- Spell – Five spirit techniques ranging from Combos to Ultimates, which form the foundation of your unique fighting style.
- Offering – Components that reshape the form and properties of your Spells, introducing devastating mutations to every strike.
- Fate Card – A strategic synergy system that intertwines the threads of karma, allowing players to maximize their build’s potential.
An Unstoppable Journey: The 49 Trials
Players must avoid becoming trapped in a time loop, as each step taken transforms even failure into a catalyst for growth, propelling them toward the Final Decree.
