The Xbox app will now show and run all your games from Steam, GOG, and more on Windows 11 — it’s the new hub for PC gaming

Enhancing the Gaming Experience on Windows 11

Microsoft has unveiled a significant update for the Xbox app on Windows 11, marking a pivotal step towards transforming it into a comprehensive gaming hub. This update, effective immediately, enables users to view and launch all installed Windows games, irrespective of their source.

The latest enhancement introduces “your game collection together with the new aggregated gaming library that shows your installed games from multiple PC storefronts, including your Xbox library, Xbox Game Pass, Battle.net, and other leading PC storefronts.” This feature promises to streamline the gaming experience, allowing players to access their favorite titles from a single interface.

During a recent hands-on session, the functionality demonstrated its potential to simplify game management, and it is anticipated to debut first on the upcoming Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X devices this fall.

In addition to these features, Microsoft has announced plans for the Xbox app to soon synchronize cloud-playable games across devices. This means gamers will have the convenience of picking up right where they left off, whether they are on a PC or console.

These enhancements will be available across all Windows 11 PCs, encompassing laptops, desktops, and handheld devices, ensuring that a wide array of users can benefit from the improved functionality.

The rollout of the new Xbox app update is currently underway via the Microsoft Store on Windows 11, inviting gamers to explore the enriched capabilities that await them.
