Self-destruct crypto PC: B3, an innovative layer-3 gaming protocol emerging from the minds of former Coinbase employees, has made a strategic move by acquiring Andromeda Insights, a gaming PC manufacturer. This acquisition allows B3 to oversee the entire gaming ecosystem—from protocol and games to hardware—while providing Andromeda with enhanced resources. Their inaugural collaboration, the B3PC, is a cutting-edge gaming PC designed specifically for the crypto space. It boasts unique security features, including a self-destruct storage drive that can be wiped clean through secure digital deletion or physical destruction via a high-voltage shock. Additionally, the B3PC integrates a hardware wallet, encryption, on-chain game support, and offline transaction capabilities. Daryl Xu, co-founder of B3, highlighted the growing need for high-performance gaming solutions that incorporate real-time rendering and AI, positioning this hardware as a forward-thinking investment in the future of crypto and AI gaming. The B3PC is currently available for preorder with a 0 deposit, with an anticipated delivery in Q1 2026. B3’s protocol already supports over 80 games and launched its native token earlier this year in February.
Avalanche battle pass: In an effort to unify its gaming ecosystem and incentivize cross-game participation, Avalanche has introduced a free-to-mint NFT known as the Avalanche Battle Pass. Developed by Ava Labs in collaboration with Playfull, this pass is available on the Magic Eden marketplace and follows the successful “battle pass” model popularized by titles like Fortnite. Players can mint the NFT, register it on Playfull’s platform, and earn rewards such as in-game NFTs and AVAX tokens by engaging with partnered games. The pass currently supports over a dozen titles, including Off the Grid, MapleStory N, Spellborne, and DeFi Kingdoms. Parker Heath, Ava Labs Gaming Lead, described the initiative as an “on-chain watering hole” aimed at connecting fragmented gaming communities across Avalanche’s L1 chains. Despite recent challenges in the blockchain gaming sector, Heath noted robust user engagement, with Off the Grid attracting over 300,000 daily players and MapleStory N reaching an impressive 770,000 users since its launch in May.
