Digital Extremes Expands Its Universe with Soulframe
Since its inception in 2013, Warframe has captivated players with its exhilarating gameplay and a richly crafted universe. Although Soulframe has yet to officially launch, the development team has been diligently releasing updates through its pre-alpha Preludes playtest. The latest installment is eagerly anticipated, featuring content first unveiled at this year’s TennoCon. Among the highlights is the introduction of The Waste Bear fable, showcased during Devstream 9, which invites playtesters to delve into the Neath’uns territory on a quest to rescue the Omen Beast, Bromius, from the clutches of corruption.
Players can look forward to encountering a host of new adversaries throughout their journey. Additionally, the update will introduce armor transmog options, upgrade paths, and color customization, all made possible through the enchanting abilities of Rat Witch Verminia. Upon completing The Waste Bear fable, participants will have the opportunity to forge a Pact that grants new abilities and allows for the creation of unique equipment, including a honey pot shield and a bear claw-style cleaver, both inspired by Bromius’ character. Furthermore, each starting faction will now offer one of three exclusive starter armor sets, enhancing the customization experience.
To enrich the narrative experience, players will also be treated to two new musical compositions within The Waste Bear fable, titled “Song of Waste” and “Song of Growth.” These additions aim to deepen the immersive quality of the game, inviting players to engage with the world on a more profound level.
