Microsoft is enhancing the Copilot app on Windows 11, making significant strides with its latest update available across all channels in the Windows Insider Program. This update introduces two noteworthy features that promise to elevate user experience and productivity.
Connectors
The new Connectors feature allows users to link Copilot with various consumer services, including OneDrive, Outlook (covering email, contacts, and calendar), Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts. This integration enables users to harness the power of natural language queries to search seamlessly across all connected platforms.
For instance, users can simply ask:
- “What’s the email address for Sarah?”

Microsoft emphasizes that this feature is opt-in, allowing users to enable it through the Settings page in Copilot.
Document creation and export
In addition to Connectors, Copilot now supports the creation and export of various document types, including Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations. Users can engage with Copilot using straightforward prompts such as:
- “Export this text to a Word document.”
- “Create an Excel file from this table.”
Moreover, for responses exceeding 600 characters, Copilot conveniently provides an “Export” button by default, facilitating the transfer of text to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or PDF formats.
