Latest Update for Windows 10 Insiders
Today marks a significant milestone for Windows 10 enthusiasts as the Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.6276 (KB5063842) is now available in the Release Preview Channel. This update brings a host of features and improvements tailored for users operating on Windows 10, version 22H2.
Among the noteworthy enhancements are:
- [Mobile Operator Profiles] Updated: The Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles have received an update, ensuring better connectivity options.
- [Common Controls] Fixed: An issue affecting the display of certain supplementary characters in Windows textboxes has been resolved, enhancing text clarity.
- [Multimedia] Fixed: A fix has been implemented for mf.dll, which previously struggled to enumerate redirected web camera devices within Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments.
- [Windows Hello] Fixed: The Narrator now accurately identifies the “Enhance Facial Recognition Protection” checkbox under the Facial Recognition settings, correcting a previous oversight.
- [Family Safety] Fixed: The “Ask to Use” approval flow for blocked applications is now functioning as intended, providing a smoother user experience when accessing restricted apps.
- [Portable Devices] Fixed: An issue with the Removable Storage Access policy has been addressed, ensuring it operates effectively.
- [Input and Composition] Fixed: The Chinese Simplified Input Method Editor (IME) has been refined to prevent extended characters from appearing as empty boxes.
- [Licensing] New! A new feature has been introduced that allows customers utilizing the Windows 10 keyless Commercial ESU solution, in conjunction with a Windows 365 subscription, to block outbound network traffic. This enhancement is designed to support compliance with Zero Exhaust policies.
- [Search pane] Fixed: An issue that previously hindered the Windows Search pane from displaying the preview pane correctly has been resolved.
- [Windows Backup for Organizations] New! The highly anticipated Windows Backup for Organizations is now generally available. This solution facilitates seamless device transitions with enterprise-grade backup and restore capabilities, ensuring that organizations can refresh their devices, upgrade to Windows 11, or deploy AI-powered PCs with minimal disruption, thereby maintaining productivity and organizational resilience.
