Microsoft has rolled out two significant cumulative updates for Windows 11: KB5062553 for version 24H2 and KB5062552 for version 23H2. These updates are essential, as they address security vulnerabilities and various issues that have emerged in recent months.
To install these updates, users can navigate to Start > Settings > Windows Update and click on ‘Check for Updates’. Alternatively, the updates can be manually downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
What’s new in the July 2025 Patch Tuesday update
Upon installation, the build number for Windows 11 24H2 will change to Build 26100.4652, while version 23H2 will be updated to 226×1.5624. This month’s Patch Tuesday brings a host of enhancements, including the option to enable smaller taskbar icons. Additionally, users with Copilot+ PCs will notice the introduction of a Microsoft 365 Copilot button in the Click to Do feature, although many of the changes will be gradually rolled out due to Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR).

- [PC Migration] New! The rollout of the PC-to-PC migration experience has begun, introducing a landing and pairing page in the Windows Backup app. This will eventually allow users to transfer files and settings from an old PC to a new one during setup, with full support expected in future updates.

While Microsoft has not identified any new issues, the changelog does note ongoing problems with certain fonts in regions such as China, Japan, and Korea.
