While the expansion has significantly boosted the game’s revenue, it has not been without its challenges, as players have reported various errors and bugs that have dampened the overall experience.
Steam’s Competitive Landscape
In the ongoing battle for player engagement, Counter-Strike 2 continues to dominate as the highest-grossing title on Steam. Following closely is PUBG: Battlegrounds, which has maintained its position in second place for yet another week. Meanwhile, the life simulation game Umamusume: Pretty Derby made a remarkable leap, rising 11 spots to No. 4, largely due to a generous 60 percent discount that has attracted new players.
Another title from Cygames, Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, has also made waves by climbing an impressive 74 positions to land at No. 9. This resurgence is linked to the release of its new Infinity Evolved content, which seems to resonate with a dedicated fan base, despite the game receiving some less-than-flattering reviews.
In the hero shooter category, Marvel Rivals has risen one spot to No. 5, while the Steam Deck has slipped two places to No. 6. The indie title Peak remains steady at No. 7. Additionally, the free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends has climbed six spots to No. 8, buoyed by a recent mid-season patch that has reinvigorated player interest.
