Zoho launches Arattai-for-Business app; offers free messaging for healthcare, education

In a significant move to enhance business communications, Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu has unveiled the Arattai-for-Business app, designed to facilitate seamless interactions between businesses and their customers. This innovative application is part of a broader initiative that includes the launch of the Arattai Business Platform, which aims to integrate existing software and automation systems with the messaging capabilities of Arattai.

Arattai Business Platform launched

The Arattai Business Platform is not just a standalone offering; it serves as a bridge for organizations to connect their current business software with the Arattai messaging service. Notably, this platform is being made available at no cost to government and public services, including essential sectors such as the Railways. Vembu emphasized this commitment in his announcement, stating, “The Arattai Business Platform is free for government and public services like Railways. We are working on those integrations right now.”

Zoho is actively developing integrations that will enable government and public service entities to leverage Arattai for effective communication with their users, marking a significant step towards modernizing public sector interactions.

Free messages for healthcare and education

In addition to the business-focused features, Zoho is extending a generous offer to healthcare and educational institutions by providing a complimentary messaging allowance of up to one million messages per month. Vembu noted, “In addition, for healthcare and educational institutions, we give a free allowance of 1 million messages per month.”

This initiative broadens the scope of Arattai beyond personal messaging, equipping organizations that require robust communication tools to engage with large audiences effectively. As Zoho’s messaging platform enters a competitive landscape dominated by established players, this latest launch positions it as a viable option for companies and institutions looking to enhance their customer communication strategies.

While the announcement did not detail pricing structures for businesses beyond the free offerings for government services, healthcare, and educational institutions, it did not specify a timeline for the completion of the planned integrations with Railway and other public services. The Arattai-for-Business app is now live, marking a new chapter in Zoho’s commitment to improving business communication.
