Developer Amplitude Studios has successfully secured a substantial funding boost of .6 million, marking a significant milestone in its journey as an independent studio. As reported by GamesBeat, this funding comes from a Series A round led by Griffin Gaming Partners, which contributed €10 million of the total €12 million (.5 million) raised.
Investment Focus and Future Projects
The newly acquired funds are earmarked for the development of exciting projects, including the much-anticipated Endless Legend 2, as well as initiatives aimed at expanding the studio’s capabilities. This financial backing follows Amplitude’s recent management buyout, which allowed the studio to break free from Sega’s portfolio of first-party studios.
“We built Amplitude as an indie studio driven by passion and community,” shared Amplitude CEO Romain de Waubert de Genlis. “What’s exciting about regaining our independence through this partnership with Griffin is that it’s not about changing who we are; it’s about accelerating toward the future we’ve always envisioned. A future where we can fully realize our creative vision and deliver the immersive experiences our players expect. We’re already deep in development on what’s next—and we can’t wait to share it.”
Echoing this sentiment, Griffin partner Frankie Zhu expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We’re excited to partner with Amplitude Studios on their next chapter. They’ve created rich strategy-based franchises and plan to continue leveraging their depth of knowledge in the genre alongside their loyal community to create engaging universes. The team has a proven track record of excellence in releasing multiple titles that are both critically acclaimed and loved by their audiences.”
